The fact that so many people came out to witness the inauguration of President Obama with out incident is no less a miracle. It was great to see again citizens showing their patriotism, waving American flags, and supporting our new president. I hope he can truly turn our country around in the right direction.
However, like it or not, Bush kept this nation free from terrorist attacks for seven years. I am really scared that Gitmo will more than likely close by year's end. The people at Gitmo are there for a reason and that reason is simply to support or assist with destoying the United States and her citizens. I keep saying to myself that there is more to the war on terror that we know and that we will continue to be safe. But that doesn't stop me from being scared. I can only hope that President Obama will carry on this hope and keep our nation and fellow Americans safe for another eight years.
