EULOGY TO MY FURRY FRIEND

I few hours ago I came home to find that you had passed on from this world. Though you had been sick for the past few months you still managed to greet me every morning with your amusing chatter and whistles. Everyday, including today, you looked at me with those sparkling reddish eyes and fluffy face which always left me in such a good mood. Though we have known each other for a few short years it almost seems a life time that we've enjoyed each other's company whether it be watching t.v., reading a book, or eating our favorite ice cream sundaes (though you preferred mini yogurt treats). I've known for the past 2 months, since you were diagnosed with cancer, that our time together was short but that doesn't really make it easier for me when looking at the corner of my room where you lived. Wedgie - I want to thank you for all the fun you've given me and wish you all the peace and happiness a guinea pig could wish for in what-ever existence you are now living...good bye:(

  1. awww, what a darling face. I am so sorry you've lost your furry kid. One of my furry kids is in a losing battle with fatty liver syndrome. I will miss her terribly.

I identified so much with your line about your GP's 'fluffy face which always left me in such a good mood." I always feel such pure delight whenever I'm with one of our GPs. They are such sweet, lovely creatures.

May I suggest that you allow yourself to mourn Wedgie so you can get closure about his or her death? Also, if you buy GPs again, it's great to have a pair (both of the same sex unless you want little 'uns really quickly!), and they thrive on having a buddy. It's a double treat to watch them living and playing with one another.

My husband just left a message before me, but I wanted to add these thoughts. - Tamara and David.
